Who we are

EuropeanaTech is the community of experts, developers, and researchers from the R&D sector within the greater Europeana Network Association.

What we do

We coordinate research and development endeavors that seek to improve the standing of European digital cultural heritage and facilitate knowledge across the sector at large.

    Europeana 2025

    Europeana 2025 will be held on 11-12 June 2025 during the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU. It will be organised in collaboration and partnership with the Ministry of Culture and the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, hosted by POLIN Museum in Warsaw.

With lowered barriers to access and the development of new practices for Artificial Intelligence (AI), it’s no surprise that AI-related activities in the cultural heritage sector are increasing -  a topic in focus on this month on Europeana Pro. In this post, we share work taking place at the Europeana Foundation to create an image classification pilot which uses computer vision algorithms to improve metadata in our records.
