As part of Europeana’s Europe at Work season, the Hunt Museum, Limerick, Ireland, and partners have been exploring the role of the Shannon Hydro-Electric Scheme. The team involved in engaging audiences onsite and online during COVID-19 discuss their approach and the importance of sharing stories of Europe’s industrial heritage.
With public events in 2020 largely cancelled, public engagement events have been difficult. We speak with partners in Ireland who have been working on projects collecting stories from the public during the pandemic.

The TuEuropeana project recently ran a poster competition exploring the theme of environmental sustainability to encourage the creative reuse of material accessed through Europeana and Polish digital repositories.
