This year’s Wikimania event hosted in Stockholm, had as its theme the relationship of open-access information to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The event's program was chaired by Europeana’s own Wikimedia liaison Liam Wyatt, in a voluntary capacity. He fills us in on this year’s gathering.

What motivates Hungarian cultural institutions to publish their collections with Europeana? The opportunity to inspire people by telling stories with the material.
Aggregators are the key link between Europeana and cultural heritage institutions across Europe. We have brought together our extensive experience of holding training events to develop a Playbook that will support best practice in workshop delivery. This will contribute towards our ultimate goal of encouraging more CHIs across Europe to provide relevant, high quality and open data to Europeana.
