As the technological capabilities to digitise cultural objects in 3D increases, so too does the value of these data sources for architects, designers, and video game creators. The real challenge lies in making 3D cultural heritage easily accessible and reusable for those audiences. That is precisely the challenge that the V4Design project is taking on.

Ghent World Fair 1913. This digital collection contains Ghent University Library’s source material with regard to the World Fair of 1913: pictures, posters, maps, medallions, post cards, brochures and many more ephemera.
The holdings of the Archives combine the graphics collection and three important historical collections: the Portraits Collection, the Picture Archives, and the former private library of the Habsburg family.
This collection comprises 55 portfolios of around 3,900 prints. Items include topographical recordings, images of cities, villages, buildings, architecture, landscapes and pictures of natural events from the areas of the former Austrian crown-lands, but also from modern day Germany, Italy, France, England, Spain, Switzerland and The Netherlands.
