After two years of intense and ambitious work, the DE-BIAS project has come to an end. Discover how it met its goal to support a more inclusive and respectful description of cultural heritage by addressing prejudices and stereotypes reflected in language, and how you can use the tools it created.
In a recently published opinion piece on Digital Meets Culture, Harry Verwayen and Sneška Quaedvlieg-Mihailović, (on behalf of the Europeana Foundation and Europa Nostra), highlight digital cultural heritage as a catalyst for positive change in Europe.
At this event, participants will use Europeana's datasets and AI4Culture’s advanced tools to work in teams and develop bold ideas to innovate, inspire, and shape the next chapter of cultural heritage. It is organised by the AI4Culture project.
This vocabulary, covering 700 words across five languages, supports professionals to review descriptions of cultural heritage collections with regards to potential bias.
