During the 2018-2019 academic year, more than 2,000 teachers around Europe have been creating learning scenarios with digital cultural heritage and testing them with their students. In this brochure, we present some of the most relevant facts and figures reached by this community.
In collaboration with European Schoolnet, Europeana has produced a short publication for Ministries of Education and other stakeholders in the domain, which aim sis to introduce Europeana's activities and educational offer to promote the use of digital cultural heritage in learning environments. Over the last 25 years, the term multiperspectivity has gained importance in history education and has been a key concept for the work of organisations such as EUROCLIO. Here we look at EUROCLIO’s multiperspective source collections and tell you how you can contribute.
Cultural heritage has an essential role to play in education, research and innovation, because it can enrich both formal and informal educational experiences. Since 2015, European Schoolnet (EUN) and the Europeana Foundation have been working together, sharing a common vision: to bring digital cultural heritage to as many classrooms as possible.
