Towards the end of 2020, OpenGLAM and the Europeana Copyright and Communicators communities organised two translation sprints to make key guidelines and articles about the public domain available to more people in their native languages. We look back on the sprints and share the translations.
With the 1st of January each year marking Public Domain Day, this month on Europeana Pro we are exploring the public domain and open access to cultural heritage. In this post, members of the Europeana Network Association Communicators and Copyright communities share some of their favourite public domain works available on the Europeana website.
A new Task Force run by the Europeana Communicators community begins this month. It intends to research examples of interesting, engaging and effective storytelling from around the web and produce recommendations to further develop Europeana as a ‘powerful platform for storytelling’. Its chair, Beth Daley, tells us about it.
