As of February 2024, nearly 2,000 cultural infrastructure sites in Ukraine had been damaged by Russia’s actions. In response, Ukrainian civil society is mobilising digital innovation to protect what remains. The Museum of Stolen Art offers a powerful example of how cultural memory can be preserved even if a monument or artefact is completely destroyed or stolen.
