Plaban Kumar Bhowmick is an assistant professor in Centre for Educational Technology, IIT Kharagpur. He has received B. Tech. from Calcutta University, Masters and PhD from IIT Kharagpur in Computer Science & Engineering. He is one of the co-principal investigators of National Digital Library of India project. As a technology lead of the project, he has contributed in drawing metadata schema, data curation workflow and software/hardware architecture. His research areas include text processing, artificial intelligence in education, semantic web technology, application of machine learning and data science in digital library.
