All are protected by copyright but were never created with commercial intent. As they are all housed in various cultural heritage institutions across Europe, they have all ‘acquired’ the status of being recognised as signifiers of social and cultural importance.
Two years on, this event will revisit the recommendations, look at their successes, and make new recommendations for the next phase of digital heritage in research. The event will also be the first time that representatives from all the main players in the Dutch digital humanities scene will come together to discuss digital cultural heritage in the Netherlands.
Digital games are increasingly used for promoting learning and supporting cultural heritage engagement through playful activities. Games used for learning have a positive impact on educational efficiency and student motivation, as they encourage and improve engagement and resourcefulness.
