Explore the latest news from the common European data space for cultural heritage, Europeana Initiative and cultural heritage sector as we work towards digital transformation.
In collections where content is aggregated from many institutions (such as Europeana), creating metadata using diverse cataloguing systems compounds these issues.
It’s a couple of months now since the Europeana Network AGM in Rotterdam. We’ve had time to reflect on the event and to listen to your feedback. We had a really good response from the survey we sent out – thanks to everyone who filled it in.

As an initiative of the Europeana Aggregation team, December 2013 will see the start of a Metadata Quality Task Force aiming to improve the quality of the metadata found in Europeana.
