The common European data space for cultural heritage is the new flagship initiative of the European Commission to accelerate the digital transformation of Europe’s cultural sector, and foster the creation and reuse of content in the cultural and creative sectors. A high-level event organised by the Europeana Foundation and the European Commission, under the auspices of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, saw the unveiling of the Twin it! pan-European collection of heritage 3D models, the launch of the Twin it! Call to action, and a celebration of the potential of 3D for reuse, access and preservation.
