First Europeana Ambassador appointed

We are delighted to announce that Judith van Kranendonk has accepted our invitation to become Europeana's first Ambassador.

The former Director-General of Culture and Media at the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, will act as an advocate for Europeana as a force for social inclusion and economic growth, connecting citizens, content providers and the creative industries. As a member of the panel Topteam Creative Industries, where government, science and industry meet, she is a strong supporter of opening up access to digitised cultural heritage across Europe.
