Dr. Katerina Glezou is a Scientix Ambassador, eTwinning Ambassador, EU CodeWeek Leading Teacher, Europeana Master Trainer, Teacher Trainer, Computer Science/Informatics/Robotics/ICT/Science Teacher in Arsakeia Schools of Psychico, Athens, Greece. She has received her BA in Physics, MSc, MEd and PhD from University of Athens (UoA) in 1990, 1994, 2000 and 2010 respectively. In 1999 – 2001, she worked as a Research Fellow in the Computer Technology Institute (CTI) in Athens. Since 2004, she has been lecturing Educational Technology in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs as a Research Fellow at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of UoA. In 2009, she created and still supports the Educational Online Social Network “Logo in Education: a community of practice and learning” (http://logogreekworld.ning.com/). In 2017 – 2019, she served as a Member of the eTwinning Hellenic National Support Service Pedagogical Team. Her research lies on the area of constructionist learning environments, which support exploratory and collaborative learning focusing on the development of Computational Thinking. Her research interests include Computer Science Education, Didactics of Informatics, Didactics of Science, Web-based Education, Robotics, Sustainability, Educational Social Networking and Teacher Training. She has participated in scientific and organizing committees of international and Greek conferences, events and competitions. She has publications in international journals, book volumes and proceedings of international and Greek conferences.
