
Jimena Escobar Sotomayor
I am dedicated to the design and production of projects related to information technologies and I have specialized in its various educational and cultural applications. I studied a degree in psychology and a technical degree in photography. I have studies in image theory, communication, project management, information architecture, interaction design, digital preservation and public policies. I have more than 20 years of experience in the design, planning and development of digital information systems and other multimedia resources for all types of audiences.
At the beginning of 2014 I joined the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), Mexico as deputy director responsible for the design and development coordination of the institutional repository Mediateca INAH and other digital projects. In January 2019, I took charge of the direction of that same area, which became the direction of institutional innovation at the beginning of 2022. Since then, I have been responsible for designing and developing strategies and tools for the digital preservation and dissemination of historical and cultural heritage in charge of the INAH.
