Carol Barriuso Rayo is an educator, teacher trainer, and researcher specializing in language education, international collaboration, and innovative teaching methodologies. With 19 years of experience in primary and pre-primary education, she integrates CLIL, digital literacy, storytelling, and Project-Based Learning to enhance student engagement and communicative competence. She is also a pre-service teacher professor at the University of Barcelona.
As an eTwinning Ambassadress and Moderator, she fosters cross-border collaboration, helping educators design meaningful, technology-enhanced learning experiences. She has coordinated multiple national and European projects, actively contributing to professional development through training, mentoring, and research.
She is also a university lecturer at the University of Barcelona, where she trains pre-service teachers, preparing the next generation of educators with innovative pedagogical approaches.
With an MRes in eLearning and an MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, she is currently pursuing a PhD in Cognitive Science and Language, exploring storytelling within eTwinning to improve students' communicative competence.
Passionate about sustainability, social-emotional learning, and inclusive education, She integrates outdoor learning and EdTech into her teaching to create supportive, future-ready learning environments.
