Today, I’m happy to announce the results of the 2016 Europeana Network Association elections. Forty-eight brilliant candidates stepped forward, and the Network Association members were invited to vote between 8 and 14 November.

Winter wonderland was waiting for more than 200 members of the Europeana Network Association when we gathered in Riga, Latvia, for the 2016 ‘Show us what you’ve got’ AGM (8-9 November). It was a fabulous opportunity to welcome you all at the National Library of Latvia (LNB).
I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the Europeana Network Association’s 2016 elections campaign. Forty-eight candidates stepped forward, and 1,526 Network Association members are invited to vote from November 8 to November 14 at 23:59CET.

As you might have seen in previous blogs and newsletters, the Europeana network has been evolving and is now an Association; this means it is more transparent and democratic. It also means that its members can elect the people that speak and make decisions on their behalf.
On 21-22 June, the Members Council - the 30 elected representatives of the Europeana Network Association - gathered in Vienna to discuss the Association’s role in the wider Europeana ecosystem, and its practical implementation: the 2017 Business Plan.
