Rights statements and Creative Commons Licenses and tools help communicate the copyright status of a cultural heritage digital object and provide information about how someone can re-use it. They are a useful tool for cultural heritage institutions seeking to facilitate and encourage access and re-use of cultural heritage.

During this webinar, Connor Benedict from Creative Commons discussed some recent guidelines on the tools that should be used when seeking to ensure attribution. Ariadna Matas from Europeana Foundation provided insight into how to choose from all of the tools available.
