Digital Spring Programme 2021: Sport & Cultural Heritage

This session presents the Europeana Sport project, explores how we canbridge the divide between sport and culture and showcases how sport can bring us together as an essential part of our shared cultural heritage.

In this 30-minute session where you will hear from three project partners (Nienke van Schaverbeke, Sound & Vision, Graeme Hawley, National Library of Scotland and Nathan Mannion, EPIC) about their motivations, passion for their digitised sports collections and engaging audiences with digital cultural heritage.

In addition Europeana Foundation representatives (Adrian Murphy & Ad Pollé) answer questions about the Sport season for Europeana and sketch the wider pan-European context of the campaign in terms of user-generated content, participatory events and editorial.
