There is a growing need in the cultural heritage sector to address the question of how to create documentation for datasets. Datasheets offer one way to meet this need. What structure and fields a datasheet should have to support the goals of those interested in reusing the datasets, particularly with computational approaches?

Since September 2022, the Europeana Research Community and EuropeanaTech Community have joined efforts in a Working Group on datasheets for cultural heritage. This group has worked hard for more than two years and is now ready to share an updated version of their datasheet template, inviting feedback and possible reuse cases for its final validation.

The Europeana Aggregators’ Forum will join the event to discuss the value of datasheets with reference to the sharing of new types of data in the European data space for cultural heritage.

This event is aimed at (digital) curators at cultural heritage institutions and researchers.
