Join Beth Daley for an hour of quiet writing. No inspiration? No problem. Beth will display artworks and cultural heritage items from Europeana.eu on screen so just look up, see how you respond and free-write. The visual will change, without fanfare, every 10-15 minutes - you can use it, or just carry on with your own project.

This event is organised as part of the Shut Up & Write! initiative, a global community that empowers writers to overcome procrastination, silence their inner critic, and make consistent progress on their projects. Their events provide a structured and focused environment where writers can come together, set aside distractions, and achieve their writing goals.

A quiet writing hour with art and culture takes place every two weeks - register now!

Please note, this event offers a silent space to write and create. If you would like to join a writing workshop, register for the Europeana Writers’ Room, our monthly creative writing workshops!
