All you need to know to prepare your metadata for submission into Europeana.
To be included in Europeana, data has to be in a specific format - the Europeana Data Model (EDM). It is the format used in the aggregation processes and published in the portal and other Europeana data services.
How the Europeana Data Model has been implemented, specialised and re-used by organisations and projects across Europe.
All the documentation you need about the Europeana Data Model (EDM)
Here is an overview of all the EDM mappings, refinements or extensions developed by Europeana and its data providers.
Find out how Europeana performs semantic enrichment and how you can enrich your metadata with linked open vocabularies.
Most providers are now providing data using our standard format, EDM, but there are a few who, for historic reasons, still provide the former format, ESE. We are working to help them make the transition to EDM.
